The Ravens Care Closet needs your help! We’re stocking up on needed supplies for our students so everyone has everything they need to start the year off strong; please concentrate on Amazon wish list items marked “highest priority” for now. When at checkout please select the “Care Cart Donation’s Gift Registry Address.” The Ravens Care Closet coordinators will post items to this wish list throughout the year. Getting Ready for Fall Sports

Getting Ready for Fall Sports

Eagle Staff offers several sports options for students throughout the year. Before students are allowed to try out and participate in school athletics, parents and students must fill out and virtually sign their online FinalForms. Students must also submit a current pre-participation physical form (good for two years). Physicals can be scheduled before, during or after school at the health clinic at Eagle Staff. Students can also get sports physicals at their primary care physician or even at places like Zoom Care. Just make sure to bring the pre-participation physical form with you! Once the physical form is filled out, you will need to attach it to your student’s FinalForms account.

Math & Puzzle Club

Math & Puzzle Club

The Math & Puzzle Club is a place to explore mathematical topics that are often outside the standard curriculum. We argue about logic puzzles, learn counting and probability through board & card games, explore geometry by building strange shapes, watch movies about mathematics, and hear from adults who use math in their work and hobbies.

We also participate in local and national math competitions. This is a chance for students to really challenge themselves and solve complicated puzzles that use grade-level mathematical skills. Competition Math is excellent preparation for high school & college mathematics, as well as the SAT & ACT. Competition participation is optional.

The Club meets on Mondays after school until 5:30 in Ms Rubio’s classroom (173), starting October 2, 2023. Math Competition practice will be held on Google Meet, on Wednesdays 4–5:30 starting October 18th.

Please email Coach Nick at [email protected] if you have any questions!
