Please vol­un­teer to help Nurse Ash­mead keep the Hear­ing & Vision screen­ing run­ning smooth­ly! 5 vol­un­teers are need­ed for both the morn­ing and after­noon ses­sions on Wednes­day Octo­ber 15th. Krak­en Ice Plex Teen Skate Night. Loy­al Heights Teen & Pre-Teen Pro­gram is plan­ning on attend­ing the Pub­lic Skate at the Krak­en Ice Plex Fri­day Octo­ber 3rd from 5:15–8:15pm. We have 5 spots avail­able for this ses­sion. Par­ents & Guardians who are inter­est­ed in their child attend­ing must sign-up by call­ing or email­ing Ron Brown at (206)684‑4052 or ronald.brown@seattle.gov. Par­ents & Guardians must also go to the Krak­en web­site and cre­ate an account for you and your fam­i­ly. Make sure to sign a waiv­er for your child or chil­dren who will be going skat­ing. (FREE!) Afterschool Math Tutoring Program at RESMS

We have Math tutor­ing on Tues­days and Thurs­days from 4:00–5:00.

It’s free, and all stu­dents who want to improve their Math skills are invit­ed!

Starts Octo­ber 7, 2025. Stu­dents can attend on Tues­days, on Thurs­days OR both.

Problem Solving class needs volunteers

This well loved class could use a lit­tle help!
Prob­lem Solv­ing class needs vol­un­teers:
Have a career in an indus­try relat­ed to or have a pas­sion for sewing, cook­ing, con­struc­tion, or finance? We’d love to have you in to tell us about it!
Want to vol­un­teer to help stu­dents nav­i­gate basic sewing, cook­ing, and car­pen­try skills? We’d love to have your sup­port!
Spe­cif­ic Dates and Times: 2nd & 5th peri­od
Wood­work­ing: 10/8–10/22 – Help stu­dents fol­low a plan, mea­sure, saw with hand­saws, con­struct with nails and ham­mer to build a planter box, bird house, or bird feed­er.
Cook­ing: Nov 3–7 Help stu­dents make bread rolls from scratch and super­vise a sec­ond oven.
